Release status

What is live, what is still a preview, and which release checks are open. Updated 9 October 2026.

Current status

The Framer Marketplace listing is unavailable right now (checked 9 October 2026). Email contact@shopcanvas.ai or book a demo and we will get you set up. The plugin is free to install. Paid plans are a subscription of $29 per production store per month, with a 14-day free trial; development and staging stores are free. Subscriptions start in the agency console and are billed by Stripe. The earlier one-time $99 kit offer is retired.

Live today

  • The plugin. Its Marketplace listing is unavailable right now; see the notice above. The setup the guide describes: connect your store → Sync (Preview product changes, Apply product sync) → paste the cart and checkout snippet into Custom Code → test one product to checkout.
  • Three ways to connect a store in the plugin. Sign in and choose Connect Shopify to approve in Shopify; or, signed in, Link store to your account with the store’s public Storefront token and a one-time code in Shopify Settings → Brand → Slogan; or paste a public Storefront token for this project only, with no account. The plugin shows your plan and trial once you are signed in.
  • Linking your own Shopify app on the website. At shopcanvas.ai/account/link-store, enter the app’s Client ID and secret, or an older Admin API access token. Shop Canvas checks them with Shopify and keeps the store’s Admin access encrypted; nothing you entered is shown again. The plugin has no field for a secret or an Admin token; those go only to Shop Canvas on that page.
  • Safer sync: Shopify descriptions are cleaned before they are written to your CMS, and drafting products absent from Shopify asks for a final confirmation. See the changelog.
  • Demo store mode: add a product section with bundled sample products before connecting anything.
  • The commerce components, installed as code files you own in your Framer project.
  • Runtime 2.1.7 on Storefront API 2026-07, loaded from shopcanvas.ai/runtime.js by the snippet you paste into Custom Code.
  • The starter template, a remix without any paid store: framer.link/bDMDw5T?via=molham51.
  • Shop Canvas accounts and the agency console. Sign in, connect client stores by approving them in Shopify, mark each store production or development, and manage billing.
  • Subscription billing through Stripe, live since 26 September. $29 per production store per month, a 14-day free trial, before tax. Your published storefront keeps selling whatever your billing status.
  • Email support that reaches a person. Mail to contact@shopcanvas.ai is forwarded to the team’s inbox.
  • The AI setup skill, bundled with the same sync engine as the plugin.
  • The live store: a client storefront running the kit, with Shopify checkout. See See it on a live store.

Known issues

  • Sign-in fails in the Framer desktop app. Signing in from the plugin inside the Framer desktop app can end on “expired or cancelled”, while the same sign-in works in Framer in a web browser. Until this is fixed, open your project in the browser at framer.com to sign in; your projects and the plugin are the same there. If a sign-in window from an earlier attempt is still open, close it before trying again.
  • “Connection needs another try” after approving in Shopify. On the Connect Shopify route, this page can mean the store is already linked to a different Shop Canvas account, and it does not say so yet. Sign in with the account that connected the store, or email contact@shopcanvas.ai. Linking with a public token and code in the plugin now says so directly.
  • The sign-in window stays open after it hands you back to the plugin. You can close it.

Open items

  • Move the published commercial terms from the retired one-time kit to the subscription, and approve them. Done: subscription terms in release/offer.json and the licence page, 28 September.
  • Verify complete licence and attribution notices.
  • Resolve unsafe sync application when URL collisions are reported, and protect buyer-modified component files during updates.
  • Run a fresh-project installation test from the Marketplace listing.
  • Supply and test the normal Framer plugin installation link. Done: the Marketplace listing, 25 September.
  • Let a Marketplace install reach a subscription. Done: sign-in and Connect Shopify in the Marketplace plugin, 26 September.
  • Test a paid subscription end to end. Test-mode trial passed 25 September; live-mode trial passed 26 September.
