Privacy policy — ShopVoice

ShopVoice is a Framer plugin made by the Shop Canvas team (“we”). This page explains what it processes, who it shares that with, and how long it is kept. Questions go to contact@shopcanvas.ai.

What ShopVoice processes

  • Generate voiceover: your script goes to OpenAI or ElevenLabs, depending on which service provides the voice you picked. Your pronunciation list is applied to the script first, so those words go with it. We store the job, including the script, and the audio that comes back.
  • Video section dub: the link to your video goes to ElevenLabs, which transcribes its speech with word timings. The new script, with your pronunciation list applied, then goes to OpenAI or ElevenLabs to be spoken. We store the job, including the video link, and the new audio and caption files.
  • Transcription on its own: the file or link you give goes to ElevenLabs only. We don't store it. The transcript goes straight back to the plugin.
  • Voice samples in the gallery: playing a sample speaks a fixed sentence. It is recorded as a job on your account, like any other voiceover.
  • Pronunciation lists: stored with your account. They reach OpenAI or ElevenLabs only as part of a script, as described above.
  • Brand profiles: the name and settings are stored with your account and aren't sent to any outside service.
  • Sign-in: handled by Clerk, whose sign-in page may run Cloudflare's bot check. We keep an ID for your account, not your password or your email address.
  • Billing: paid plans are bought on Stripe's hosted checkout page. It collects your email, card and billing address, so your card never reaches us. We keep your subscription status. Stripe's privacy policy applies to what it collects.
  • Your Framer project: the audio and captions you insert are uploaded into your own Framer project, under Framer's terms.
  • Where it's stored: ShopVoice runs on Fly.io servers in Virginia, USA. If you're outside the US, your data is processed and stored there. The speech providers above process what we send them on their own infrastructure.

OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Clerk and Stripe handle what we send them under their own terms. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising, and the plugin contains no analytics.

How long we keep it

  • Download links expire after 15 minutes. The audio and caption files are deleted from our servers within about an hour after that.
  • Job details, including your script and video link, are deleted after 30 days. You can change this from your Shop Canvas account page: open “Your ShopVoice dubs” and keep them for 7, 30 or 90 days, or until you delete them. You can also delete any job there at any time.
  • Brand profiles and pronunciation lists are kept until you delete them.
  • If you close your account, your ShopVoice data is deleted soon after: every job (scripts and video links), its audio and caption files, your brand profiles, your pronunciation list and your settings. We keep an ID for the closed account and its subscription references, so billing records stay consistent. To have data deleted without closing your account, email us.
