Scope
1. Install the app
Install Style Swap AI from the Shopify App Store listing for your shop. Approve the permissions Shopify shows on the install screen. After install, open the app from Shopify admin to complete onboarding.
2. Enable the theme app embed
- Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Open App embeds in the theme editor sidebar.
- Enable the Style Swap AI embed and save.
The embed loads storefront scripts needed for the try-on experience.
3. Add the product block
- In the theme editor, open a product template (for example Default product).
- Add the Style Swap AI block where shoppers should start try-on (often near the buy button).
- Save and preview a product page.
4. Quality defaults (Quick vs higher quality)
In app admin, set the default generation mode. Quick favors speed and lower credit use. Higher quality produces more detailed output and typically uses more credits per try-on. You can choose whether shoppers can switch modes on the storefront.
5. Button branding
Use the button designer in admin to match your theme: label text, colors, and corner radius. Preview on a product page after saving. Keep contrast sufficient for accessibility on your background.
6. Admin: usage and try-ons log
The admin home shows plan usage and remaining allowance. The try-ons log lists recent generations with timestamps and status so you can confirm the storefront is working or diagnose failures. Use it when support asks for an approximate time of a failed try-on.
7. Billing overview
Paid plans (Trend, Runway, Unlimited Fashion) are charged through Shopify app billing. Upgrades, downgrades, and trials follow Shopify’s subscription UI inside the app. Allowances reset per billing period according to your active plan.
